Agate

Agate is an opaque stone, found in all colors of the rainbows. Found all over the world.

Protective stone, good for calming and soothing, especially children. It is grounding and enhances our connection with the Earth. Also good for grounding and healing of emotions. Brings harmony and dispels fears. Enhances creativity and good luck. It works with various chakras, depending on it's color.

Aquamarine

Aquamarine transparent stone, color ranges from almost colorless to pale blue to blue-green to teal. It is found in many parts of the world, with the most valuable pieces found in Brazil.

Attuned with the sea, it is said to protect sailors and travelers of the seas, and even aide with seasickness. It helps to promote courage and fortitude. Stimulates the intellect. It provides shielding of the aura and a sense of peace. Associated with the throat chakra.

Aventurine

Aventurine is a translucent to opaque stone, found in various colors of green, peach, brown, blue, and creamy green. Found in India, Chile, Spain, Russia, Brazil, Austia, and Tanzania. It is often mistaken for Jade or Amazonite.

It's name means by chance, it's a good luck stone, especially for games of chance. An all purpose healer which promotes blood and the circulatory system, helps reduce headaches, tension, and stress. It stimulates creativity, the imagination, mental clarity, and the intellect. Brings prosperity and success. Attracts friendships. It's a protective stone with calming and balancing properties. Associated with the heart chakra.

Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is an opaque stone, or blue and green. It is often confused with Turquoise, and containing copper it is found in places where copper deposits occur. such as the southwestern USA, Chili, Zaire, Australia, France, and England.

Stone of harmony. It purifies and removes negative energy from a person or place. It eases anxieties, fears, and guilt. Helps to communicate and connect with the spiritual forces of the Earth. Assists with allergies. Associated with the throat chakra, also the heart and solar plexus.

Chrysoprase

Chrysoprase is an opaque stone, apple green in color. Found in in Australia, Brazil, the Ural Mountains, and the US. Often mistaken for Imperial Jade, it is prized for it's color and rarity.

Associated with fertility, good fortune, prosperity, and business success. Helps with self-expression and courage. Brings feeling of happiness and rids negative thoughts and irritability. Enhances friendships. Balances yin and yang energies in the body, and is helpful in meditations. Helps mend broken hearts. As a healing stone it improves eyesight, reduces fevers, and assists with healing mental illness. Associated with the heart chakra, it also aligns all the chakras.

Jade

Jade is a translucent stone. The most common colors are green and blue-green, the rarer colors include yellow, pink, purple, and black. The various types and colors of jade come from various parts of the world: Imperial Jade is from Myanmar, while Blue Jade is from Mexico. It is also found in Central America. It's smooth and even texture have made it a preferred stone for carving and in jewelry. It has been found extensively throughout the ruins of ancient Mesomaerican cultures.

Stone of the Heart. Increases body strentgh and fidelity. Protects the kidneys, liver, spleen, heart, larynx, thymus, and thyroid. Attracts and enhances love. Supports the physical heart, emotional balance, and stability. Associated with the heart chakra.

Lapiz Lazuli is an opaque stone, deep blue stone. Found primarliy in Afghanistan.

Used by ancient Romans as an aphrodisiac, it is known to bring spiritual love and enhance love and fidelity. Protects from physical and psychic attacks. It was a stone for the royalty. Strengthens creativity, intuition, and psychic awareness. Placed over the 3rd Eye it assists psychic openings. Improves sleep and cures insomnia. Helps to overcome shyness. Works with the throat chakra and will magically help a person to say the right thing.

Opal

Opal. Peruvian Blue Opal is a very translucent stone, with color similar to the Carribean Sea. It is relatively rare and only found in the Andes of Peru

It's know to give courage and ingenuity. Enhances self-love and self-esteem. It aides creativity and communication, and helps ideas flow freely. It's known to reduce stress, fatigue, and body weight. Also helps the body with iron absorption, alieviates dizziness, and heals brain disorders. As a psychic tool it helps in recalling past lives. Associated with the throat chakra.

Serpentine

Serpentine is an opaque stone. It's colored and mottled appearance gave it it's name, with colors from white to grey, yellow to green and brown to black. It's a common rock, found around the world. Also called New Jade.

Helps with emotional cleansing, psychic powers, and working with the kundalini and is excellent for meditation. It's a protective stone, especially against snakebite, poison. Helps eliminate parasite infections and removes venoms and other poisons.

Sugilite

Sugilite is a transparent to opaque stone. It's colors range from pale, grayish lavender to a deep, dark purple. It's a fairly recent discovery (1944) and is fairly rare. The largest deposit has been found in South Africa.

Known as The Healer's Stone, it has a great ability to enhance healing. Opens the heart to unconditional love and spiritual love. Helps one to bring forth their natural gifts and abilities and protects from harsh realities. Reduces anger and hostility, jealousy and prejudice and gives a sense of freedom. Used to decrease discomfort from headaches. Associated with the 3rd Eye and Crown Chakra, it opens one to psychic abilities and channeling.

Tourmaline

Tourmaline means stone of mixed color. It is a clear stone, found in a variety of colors. Bi-colored and tricolored varieties may be geen at one end and pink at another. Watermelon tourmalines are green on the outside and pink inside. They are found everywhere in the world.

The legend says that tourmaline is found in all colors because it travelled the rainbow to get here and gathered all it's rainbow colors along the way. It's believed to strengthen the body and spirit. Helps with healing the nervous system, blood, and lymph. Inspires creativity and was used by artists and writers. Increases flexibility, happiness, objectivity, compassion, and serenity. Useful in channeling. A protective stone, associated with the heart chakra. Watermelon tourmaline opens one to receive love.

Turquoise

Tuquoise dervied it's name from the Turks that brought the stone from Asia to the Middle East. It is an opaque stone, and colors range from green to greenish-blue to sky-blue. It is found in Iran, Asia, and the Southwestern US and Mexico.

Is known as a master healer stone, and speeds the healing process. It protects against environmental pollution. It is sacred to the Native Americans and Oriental people. The Native Americans carved it in the shape of birds and other animals, which were placed in tombs to guard the dead. Promotes honest and clear communication. It is very powerful for grounding and protection. Associated with the sky, and bringing sky energy to earth.
